Every lover of tender, succulent, super-tasty meat that is easy to digest, will agree that lamb chops make a perfect main course.
Whether it’s a family lunch or an impromptu dinner, with this meat-based main course, you can turn this social occasion into a mouth-watering moment.
Ingredients for 4 people:
- 12 lamb chops
- 1 pot of pepper salsa dip
- extra virgin olive oil
- salt
- pepper
- 3 sprigs of thyme
- 4 bay leaves
- a bunch of sage
- 4 sprigs of rosemary
- 6 juniper berries
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2 glasses of white wine
Procedure Start by marinading the lamb: wash the chops under running water, place them in a casserole dish and sprinkle them with the aromatic herbs, juniper berries, peppercorns and 2 whole cloves of garlic. Add two glasses of white wine and a drizzle of oil. Leave them to rest in the fridge for a few hours, turning them from time to time.
Save the marinade liquid, place the chops in a baking dish and top them with the smoked pepper salsa dip on both sides. Add a pinch of salt, freshly ground pepper and cook them in a preheated oven, at 180°C, for about 40 minutes, remembering to turn them halfway through cooking. If necessary, use a little of the marinade liquid kept aside to moisten them.
